چکیده

Article describes methods and results of experimental research for strain behavior, crack formation fracture concrete beams reinforced with fiber polymer (FRP) bars during bending moment action. 18 (3+3 series) glass FRP (GFRP) basalt (BFRP) 6, 10 14 mm in diameter were tested. Deflection the middle beam, ultrasonic transmission time 4 routes measured tests besides visual inspection. Main occurred at 8-20% ultimate load all beams. Crack was transition border to linear (elastic) straining low stiffness. More than 15 times decrease stiffness seen beam two types 6 compared initial values. Existence main cracks major deflections is not allowed design elements. However small elastic a positive factor case «hard» loading impact (pulsed) loading. It possible prevent structures collapse people deaths cyclic by permitting bearing structures.

Experimental and Analytical Study on Reinforced Concrete Beams in Bending Strengthened with FRP

The performance of the interface between fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composites and concrete is one of the key factors affecting the behavior of strengthened reinforced concrete (RC) structures. Existing laboratory research has shown that RC beams strengthened with FRP sheets usually fail because of either debonding of the impregnated fabric from the concrete substrate or fracture of the FRP...

FRP Repair of Corrosion-Damaged Reinforced Concrete Beams

Corrosion of steel reinforcement is one of the main durability problems facing reinforced concrete infrastructures worldwide. This paper will summarize the results of a multi-phase experimental program undertaken at the University of Waterloo to investigate the viability of using externally bonded fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) laminates to rehabilitate corrosion-damaged reinforced concrete bea...

effective moment of inertia of frp reinforced concrete beams

concrete beams reinforced with glass fiber reinforced polymer (gfrp) bars exhibit large deflections and crack widths as compared with steel reinforced concrete beams due to the low modulus of elasticity of gfrp bars. different studies show that aci 318 equation for the effective moment of inertia ie does not predict deflection well for frp reinforced concrete beams. the purpose of this paper is...
